UK Aware Eco Event

Went to the UK Aware eco event at Olympia yesterday with Karen from Karavan Eco (Lordship Lane, East Dulwich). It was a very small event but that actually made it so much. Often, exhibitions are so large that they are exhausting and much of what is there is replicated. here, there were very niche companies and organisations thst made an exciting day out. I bought 2 shower heads from EcoCamel. The handset replaces the normal shower head and it restricts the water flow. That saves money in the first place but that also means the water going through the combi boiler slows down so gets hotter. That means you can turn the thermostat down as well. Then air in introduced into the handset to aerate the water which makes the water “wetter” as well as much more powerful. result, I have a better and more effective shower that will save me about £200 per year on water let alone the heating of it. It’s a no brainer really. So why did I buy 2? The other one was for my treatment room so that Skinbuddy waxing or colonic clients can also enjoy a fantastic shower experience after their treatment.
Lots of other information available as well and we found a few new places to advertise our respective businesses. Karen will be holding table days outside her shop on Saturdays in the very near future once a month. Look out for the Skinbuddy day where you will get to try natural skincare products as well as receive discount vouchers for therapy treatments.

The next training day for making your own natural skincare products is now set with people already booked on. It will be held at Skinbuddy in Nunhead SE15 3XE. For those that know the area, it is where Gibbon Road joins Hollydale Road. In just 2 days, you will learn to make Elizabeth Taylor’s hand cream, organic lip balms, shampoo with no SLS and of course, parabens free, clay masks and a body scrub gel. On the second day you make a gorgeous facial moisturiser with natural butters and essential oils, an aluminium free deodorant, a spray body lotion, a hair conditioner and a facial peel. All raw materials are supplied and you get to take home everything that you have made. For further details, go to www.skinbuddy.com or call Mike on 020 7884 1175. oh did I not mention when it is? Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th May.
